Made in 1964 by designer Rudi Gernreich, the Monokini was the first women's topless bathing suit ever made. This one is in great vintage condition and has stayed in the original owner's family. It was only worn once over long underwear at a private event in NC in the mid 1960's. Monokinis are displayed in museums around the world and art exhibits.This would be a great addition to any fashion/art lovers collection.
