Kuppenheimer was a great name in men's clothing for over a century until a generation ago. Baby Boomers may recall the name in the end credits of THE TWILIGHT ZONE, since they provide all of Rod Serling's suits.
This bold jacket dates from a decade later, when it was ordered by a customer in Midland Texas, an oil town that was the home base of the Presidents Bush.
The vivid blue and yellow plaid is tailored with a suede collar that buttons against the wind, a belted back and a long pleat behind the shoulder that is called a bi-swing back, which allows the arm a fuller range of motion that is useful in shooting sports.
Details: All wool with suede details. Make date 1970. Made in USA.
