Another truly unique linen suit perfect for warm weather! Suit Details: This handmade jacket is unlined and
finished with great care (look to see how each of the seams inside the jacket were covered
in navy fabric). It has a notch lapel, patch pockets, and is double vented
in the back. Made with functional sleeve buttons (last button is
unfastened in photos) in traditional "horn" brown color. The interior of the breast pocket is lined with a pink gingham fabric so it can be used as a pocket square in a pinch. Please note this linen is
light-weight, not what is typical for a sports coat (think shirt linen
material - where light can easily shine through - see last photo). This was made as an
experiment to be as cool and breathable as possible.
The matching pants have a 34 waist and "32 in" inseam that is closer to 31 inches (see photo) to show off your summer socks or bare ankles (however you roll). The waist band is lined with a grippy rubber to help make sure your shirt stays tucked. Background: I designed this suit in consultation with a great tailor in the garment district of Shanghai in 2013. All design aspects reflected my quirky and experiment interests in menswear. As it is, after starting power lifting a few years ago many of my custom jackets and suits no longer fit. At that time I wore either a 38 or 40 jacket (depending on the cut, I was a true 39) and 34/32 pants - to give an estimate of this sizing of this suit. This suit has been in storage in a garment bag for several years. I will post some other custom made garments in the following days. We do our best to measure the garment accurately, the approximate dimensions are as such (please also refer to corresponding photographs): Shoulders (shoulder seam to shoulder seam): 19 in Chest (armpit to armpit): 19.5-20 in Length (bottom of collar to hem): 28 in Sleeves (shoulder seam to cuff): 25 in Waist : 34 in Pants inseam : 31-32 in Other relevant information: This garment in pristine condition; it has been stored in a smoke-free environment.
