DATING TO THE LATE TEENS - 1920’S
DUE TO THE CUT, I BELIEVE THAT THIS PIECE IS WOMENS.
THE LABEL PICTURED IS ON THE INNER UNDERSIDE FRONT SKIRTING.
FASHIONED OF A WOOL AND COTTON JERSEY BLEND THAT FEELS MORE LIKE COTTON AND IS GREY AND BLACK FLECKED THROUGH THE BODY WITH SKIRTING AND V NECKLINE TRIM IN A LIGHT AND DARK PINK FLECKED PATTERN.
THE ATTACHED INNER SHORTS ARE DARKER GREY, POSSIBLY LESS WASHED OUT THAT THE SURFACE JERSEY. BELT LOOPS ARE AT THE SIDES, NO BELT WAS FOUND WITH MISMATCHED BUTTONS CLOSING THE SHOULDER. CONDITION : SEVERAL SMALL PERIOD MENDS SEEN TO THE CENTER FRONT V NECKLINE. THE SKIRTING SHOWS A SLIGHT UNEVEN ALTERATION ALONG THE WAISTLINE EDGE, IT APPEARS TO GO AT A SLIGHTLY OFF ANGLE. SEVERAL SMALL PERIOD MENDS ARE TO THE REAR WITH A SMALL WEAR SPOT WHERE THE FABRIC IS SLIGHTLY THIN A DOUBLE THUMBPRINT AREA JUST BENEATH AND TO THE SIDE OF THE V NECKLINE WITH SOME DARKENED LINES OF PINK ALONG THE NECKLINE EDGE, QUITE POSSIBLY GENTLY AND EVENLY FADED THROUGHOUT. TWO MENDS IN COLORED THREAD ARE ON THE REAR BACK WITH TWO NEATER MENDS ON THE FRONT AND TWO WHITE STITCH MENDS, ONE ON THE NECKLINE AND THE SIDE LEFT WAIST. SOME HEAVY STITCHED MENDING SEEN TO THE INNER CROTCH FROM TYPICAL WEAR. SIZING :
