This is an Official DC Comics Production Staff ONE OF A KIND original colorist art color guide page used in the direct production of the 1999 SUPERMAN ADVENTURES issue 36 comic book. The DC Colorist for this 1990's Man of Steel issue is Marie Severin, who also worked for EC Comics in the 1950's and for Marvel Comics in the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's. NOTE: That's SUPERMAN in the grey spacesuit on this page! This 1 of a kind vintage color guide art measures about 11 inches by 8 1/2 inches, which is common for colorist's art. DC's Staff couldn't have produced the actual published comic book without this color guide art production page. NOTE: Color guides/colorist's artwork are re-sized copies of the pencil & ink original artwork that are assigned to the issue's colorist, and then hand colored by that colorist. Colorguides measure about the same size as the published comic book, and some have "color codes" for the printers to follow. Computer coloring has made hand painted colorist artwork extinct, but highly collectible and displayable. Inventory Code R89705.
