“One original Vietnamese “Tiger Stripe” Camouflage Pattern Flight Suit. These suits were used by US Marine Corps flight crews early in the Vietnam War. The first deployment of US Marine Corps helicopters, in Vietnam, was in 1962. These suits were not a US military issue item. It was not authorized for wear anywhere. The only place to be issued one was to be a flight crew of that helicopter squadron in Vietnam. Ground crew, support guys, and the navy pilots operating from carriers out at sea didn’t get them. It’s a very specific item tied to a certain unit at a certain place at a certain time. “
