Smooth 1950s Penney’s “Town-Clad” worsted wool double breasted suit in steel blue with subtle navy blue pinstripes.
With the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America Union tag, copyright 1949.
Jacket: 2 button close with 6 buttons showing, 5” wide peaked lapels, besom hand pockets, and “petal” lined at the well-padded shoulders.
Pants: 4-pleat front, 2-snap close, a long metal zipper, 8 dropped belt loops for a 1-3/4” belt, 6 interior suspender buttons, and 1-3/4” cuffs.
