Vintage 1920s Horace Partridge Black Wool One Piece Exercise or

Vintage 1920s era black wool sleeveless one piece exercise or bathing suit. Has a pair of shorts underneath the skirt or lower portion of the of the suit. One shoulder opens closes with a pair of shiny black buttons. I'm not sure if this was meant for a man or woman as both men and women wore swimsuits in this style. Since it is wool the suit gets quite heavy when it is wet. The wool is fairly thick and feels like it could be itchy against the skin. Has a Horace Partridge Athletic Goods Manufacturers Boston Massachusetts label. Horace Partridge was founded in 1847. They merged in 1930 with the Wilson Western Sporting Goods company. Condition There are several small holes throughout the suit and several old repairs made to the wool. Does not have any odors. Has been hand washed in cold water and laid flat to dry. Measurements (has some stretch to it) Bust: 32" Waist: 29" Hips: 36" Length: 29" Length of Shorts: 12.5" (from waist seam to hem)
