Vintage 1930s 30s Black Lounge/Stroller Suit 3-pc bespoke Double Breasted Dated. Up for sale is a very rare 3-piece black lounge/stroller suit dated 4/14/1936, bespoke or custom-tailored by Fieldcrest Clothes Tailored by Stanford Williams for Marshall Field & Company The Store for Men. It was common to see a full morning coat ensemble but seldom to see a full stroller suit. This one is in very good condition(a bit yellowing on the waistcoat lining, the left top pocket still closed)The jacket is drape cut in an attractive double-breasted 6*2 arrangement with a subtle waist suppression. The lapel is one of the most dashing cuts I have seen with a deep V opening, taped edge alongside the lapel, breast pocket and cuffs. It is particularly lined, with no vent and two flap pockets. The fabric seems to have an invisible herringbone pattern. The waistcoat is a traditional 6-button closure, taped edge the same as the jacket. The sponge bag trousers have a butterfly front, belt loops and brace suspender buttons as well. They are unpleated and uncuffed.
