Vintage 1950s mens 2 pc suit, drop loop pants, charcoal black

Vintage late 1950s 2 piece suit.  A dark sort of charcoal black with a few tiny threads of (I think) gold intermingled.  No tag to indicate size or fabric content.  I think, but cannot guarantee, that it is a thin wool blend fabric.  I have a couple of close photos of the fabric, the black washes out on close ups, but it may provide an idea of the fabric.
Jacket has a back vent that hasn't been cut, pants are drop loop.
There is a faint seam shadow in back at the waist, makes me think the waist may have been altered to let it out a bit, see photo.  The pants have been hemmed up, and have about a 2 1/4" hem.  There is some hem shadow on the outside of the pants leg, see photos, I don't know if it can be steamed out.
Otherwise good vintage condition.
