VTG 1970s Dark Blue Disco Suit Knit Polyester 40 Reg. 37W L28 Dated 1973

VTG 1970s dark blue polyester knit disco suit.  (40 Reg)  Disco Up for sale is very well-preserved suit from the early 70s.  It is marked 1973 inside the pocket. The material is a polyester knit cloth in dark blue.  The cut of the jacket is American with wide 4 1/8"lapels, patch pockets, brass crest buttons, a funky lining, and a single rear vent.  The trousers have a flat front, a high rise, large belt loops, and flared bottoms, which measure to 9.5"  It was only lightly used and has a new feeling to the fabric.    The color is dark blue - the first photo shows the color most accurately. Condition:  Excellent vintage Condition.  No holes, no stains, no flaws.  Only lightly used. Very well-preserved. Original paper tag in side pocket.  Overall, very nice looking disco suit.  From a smoke-free home. Maker: Johnny Carson for Hudson's Union made in U.S.A.  (union label is 1962-1975 series.) Material: No markings, but looks and feels like polyester knit cloth. Marked: 44R but measures to a 40 Reg. The trousers are 37" W  and 28" L ( with a 2.5" hem) Since size markings may differ from maker to maker, Please check measurements to your own well-fitting jacket / suit (if you aren’t sure how to measure your own jacket, please see the instructions below)

Since many suits aren't marked, I go by measurements to determine size.  Also be aware that sometimes a suit is marked, but it doesn't match the measurements.
